Simasimac after recapping working SE30

Just finished a recap of what was a working SE/30. No bomb but some leaky caps. Now I get Simasimac on the screen and no bong. I do get some static via the audio jack on boot. I have NEC VRAM chips if it matters.

I have reseated the ROM and the RAM. I have checked continuity on all the pins for UB10 and UB11 and they check fine. I reflowed the pads on UE8.

What's next?
Does anyone have an easy way to check continuity for UE8 and or the VRAMs? Is there a way to test if UE8 is good?

Keep it simple. If it was working before you started then you need to check everything you worked on. Verify the pads are still connected to their trace, verify you got polarity correct on your caps, verify you used the correct cap, and check the whole board for any accidentally dropped solder shorting something.

This is good advice. I accidentally dropped a small bit of solder on the board of an Apple CD-SC when recapping and bridged some contacts. Took FOREVER to find. So it does happen!
