hello people

Just had a bad experience on ebay with a French seller.

won a color classic for 66 euro.....he did not ship it...after 4 days he replies with insults and refunds me my money

-

want to give people the heads up with this guy but want to know the rules of the forum incase posting his name is against the rules.

-

just because the clown did not get what he was hoping for the sale he decides to throw insults and refunds the money. what a %^&%$£

Colour Classic for €66? Sounds nice. Pity he just refunded you. I don't know the forum rules; the wiki is down at the moment. PM Cory5412 and post the result here

ebay reviewed the whole thing, said he was way out of order, but that they could not force him to honour ebay rules and ship it.

They told me to leave the seller bad feedback - so I did - and guess what.....the clown has done the same thing to other people.

-

basically if this 'seller' does not get the price he wants, he wont ship, wont respond to any messages, waits, waits,  then throws a sissy fit, hurls abuse and cancels the transaction

-

Seller won't have an account for very long by the sound of it.

Basically it boils down to: we don't name buyers or enough specifics to identify a particular sale or the seller. You've probably gone that far already, expect padlock.

I believe that in France there is a rule about honoring their business deals which leads to fraud. If you can get the idiot's email address, you can contact the French authorities on his ass. And remind Ebay that they have to do the same. No doubt that this idiot has done the same to others and needs to get his account deleted.

4 days unity. I was chatting with ebay about it, its their live chat thingy, and the guy I spoke reviewed all the communications (3) , agreed that I was not rude or out of order. Told me to give him bad feedback, and that he could not give me bad feedback, and that was all they could do

-

guy is a sore looser that's all.

-

ah well...theres plenty more macs in the sea

-

weh hey!

Well what was said? I usually wait a week if something has not shipped before asking. Most sellers are not Amazon, they have lives. Are you sure its not something you said?

this guy got me worried because he has 10 to 15 items, all vintage machines, ending within 10-15 minutes. I watched them all end, within seconds of each other.

allot of stuff and allot of money

-

got to thinking if a guy was about to retire from ebay he might pull a stunt like that

-

after 2 days I sent him a message asking when he could ship. thinking with all the other sales he would say it would be a while....that's what I was expecting. no answer.2 more day go by still nothing

I send same request.......nothing....then a rant.

-

I have often waited 2 months for stuff from the states to arrive. I honestly don't really care how long it takes to get here.

its just nice to hear a seller reply to you when you have bought an item.

-

ive never had a problem on ebay until today. I have no bad feedback.

-

its just frustrating to see that he has done the same thing to 2 other people and ebay still lets him trade.

his email was in the paypal refund elfen but I couldn't be bothered doing anything else.

-

its just plain lousy that you win an auction fair and square and the seller decides to just pull the plug.

-

has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, it happens more than people think it does. I have not had it happen first hand really. I have had things I paid for not get sent and had to do the long PayPal process of a refund. Back then, partial refunds were normal  - not full! Its much better today.

If people REALLY think something is worth X, then they need a reserve. If it starts at $1 prepare for it to sell for $1, that simple.

On a side note, I am selling a Color Classic. But I hate to ship since they break up so easily. And I am looking for more than 66 euro.

Before the padlock comes up, I'll add that, as far as I remember, I've had ONE odd experience with an eBay seller who, for some inexplicable reason, refused to ship anything to California (when he saw my address was in CA, he cancelled the sale). It wasn't a big deal, but it was definitely a bit strange.

By the way, shouldn't this be in The Lounge?

I have had people not ship an item before. All you can do is file a claim and get your money back then give them bad feedback as a warning to other buyers.

Some newbie sellers don't understand that they will not get their money (from paypal) until after they ship the item and the customer receives it (with tracking).
