Replacement 512k keyboard RJ11 jack

Title pretty much says it all, I’m hoping to see if there is some kind of replacement for the RJ11 style phone jack that connects to the keyboard.

I’m having issues getting my keyboard to work. I have already replaced the coiled cord itself and reflowed the solder joints on the keyboard / jack but still having issues getting the keyboard to consistently work. It will only work sometimes if I wiggle and pull the coiled cable harshly to one side.

I’ve tried a mac plus keyboard in this Mac and it works fine. So the Mac itself is okay. I tried this non working keyboard on another mac and it does the same thing. It’s got to be the keyboard / jack itself.

I also checked continuity between the pins and the solder pads on the board and I get continuity through the multimeter but still can’t get keys to type. The only thing I can figure is that there might be a broken pin underneath the jack itself….. ideas?

Try cleaning the contacts in the RJ11 socket with a Q tip and IPA. It's not very likely to fix it, but it also costs next to nothing to try.
