Rehousing an LC III

I have an LC III around with a destroyed case. It's been put in a Bawls cardboard box. I'd like to give it a proper case again, without buying an LC case on eBay or something would anyone happen to know if it would fit in any sort of case you could get from Newegg?

Physically, yes, it will fit. But in order to actually mount it in the case you are going to need to modify the hell out of the case. You'll need to find some way to physically mount the board (its held in the LC case entirely by clips, there's no actual screw holes in the board), and then you'll need to hack the rear panel a bit so that there is room for all the ports, since the LC backplane is absolutely nothing like an ATX backplane.

That's useful information, thanks a bunch!

Also some of those cases are pretty legit, but I found one of these around - hopefully i'll have enough room :p

I think you could house a cluster of LC boards in there :) Why not a large 5.25" SCSI case or something?
