Recapped SE/30 Back To Its Old Self...

I decided to dig my SE/30 out of the basement and update it from 7.0 to 7.1. However, I go to fire it up and it gives me the old horizontal bars and no boot chime symptoms...I had the logic board recapped by Unknown_K and the system was working great (once I fixed a bent pin on the network card) but now it's like I never recapped it at all. Any advice as to what I should do first? I mean, obviously I should probably check the network card again but what if it's not that?

Removed the network card entirely and tried booting the machine, got Chimes of Death and still no booting. How bizarre.

Put the card back in, initially got a Sad Mac...

...but then it booted up like normal!

But then immediately after booting like normal it did this. And then booted normally afterwards.

I don't know what's up with this machine any more, but while it's up and running I'm trying to wipe the original hard drive and do a fresh install of 7.1 and so far it's not going well.

There is probably some cap goo left on the board after the recapping. It gets into every tiny space and can be very hard to clean out, and it keeps corroding the traces over time. Try washing the board if you haven't already (everyone has a different recommended approach and set of solvents). If the problems persist, it'll be a case of finding the bad traces.

I had the board done by someone else and I assume they washed it...they also patched a trace too. And after that last picture it's worked completely fine since so I don't even know what's going on.
