quick curiousity about doing a particular gpu setup on 6400's

just had to wonder if one could had used a dedicated pci video card as the primary monitor and still utilize the onboard graphic controller for a secondary monitor too or is the way the hardware/software set up such that it at bootup detection would always be marking the onboard output as the primary screen?
 
My beige G3 detects onboard as primary only if a monitor is plugged in. You could also turn off the onboard video entirely with some OpenFirmware settings.
 
mm thanks @NJRoadfan I had simply been thinking about being able to have 1024x768 (or a bit higher) in million of colour as my primary screen but just wondering if I was going to bother with a smaller second monitor which would had otherwise ran off the onboard graphics (since the pci card only had a single output) or to completely ignore the onboard graphic&video subsystem otherwise

anyhow I'll see what I eventually decide on
