Quadra 700 won't stay on

Hi, I have a Quadra 700 that turns on but I need to keep pressed the power button, otherwise it would shut off.
Note: I have removed the pram battery.
Ideas ?

I think the power supplies in these have been failing lately. I've been looking for someone to rebuild mine. You may be able to just recap it and get away with it for now, if that is the issue.

Or, replace with the more robust Centris/Quadra 650 version, also used in the IIvx and its different variants, and the PowerMac 7100 series. Same power supply, but slightly more power to run a second hard drive or a CD-ROM drive.

Hi Amedeo,

it could just be the switch (IIsi/Quadra 700 era PSUs have very finicky switches that need to be positioned/twisted in just right to work), but for all of these, to trust I'd recap soon.
