Yeah, it's like ignition coils for ICEs. Technically you would test one with a different meter, but everybody just uses a DMM because if the resistance is outside of a certain range it's judged to be bad, and a DMM is more or less what everybody has on hand. Given that this is an older computer, and those built-in speakers on nearly all computers are rather bad to begin with, the tolerance isn't really that specific in the larger scope, something with equal specs should work just fine. It's like 195mm width tires versus 205mm width tires. Technically there's a difference, but on a passenger car not used for racing, there's not a realistic difference.

I need to learn how this thing works. Also the TL-21 alligator clip thing that people complain about having short wires -- yeah, they're short. Don't even think they're 40mm long. I *think* I'm measuring it properly.
