Powerbook Hdi30 to db 25 adapter

I have a hdi 30 to db 25 cable by iec but i cant get it to work on either of my powerbooks 520 and the 520c that i have. I know my bluescsi works because I've used it without the cable. What adapter can anyone recommend.

Are you powering the BlueSCSI externally? The 500 series doesn't supply term power, which the BlueSCSI uses if it's not powered separately

Yea, i tried my laptop and an outlet.
