Powerbook g3 Bronze Keyboard not booting OS9

Hi, I have a Powerbook G3 with the bronze keyboard, a 400mhz processor, and 320mb of RAM. It has OS9 and OS 10.3 on it. Since OSX disagrees with the DVD drive on it(won't let me play DVDs) I want to boot into OS9 to watch a few while I'm away(on vacation right now).

However, it doesn't appear to want to boot to anything other than OSX. I've tried every bootup key I can find, as well as zapping the PRAM(which it doesn't want to do either) and nothing works.

Any help?

Try holding down option right after the chime. If that doesn't work, boot off an OS 9 CD and select "OS 9 on [hard drive]" and choose reboot.

if its a lombard ( no firewire) its not os X which disagrees with the drive

its harware mpeg decodert only works under os 9

but i bet you knew that already
