PowerBook Duo 280c

One of the few macs I've never owned... the PowerBook Duo

This one comes with a 040LC processor and an active matrix colour screen, and 28MB of RAM upgrade. Will be good for playing Hellcats if nothing else!

Paid £150 on UK ebay

Not bad. I've heard that the keyboards on them are horrible, but I've never owned one.

Do these suffer from the tunnel syndrome display issue?

Not the color versions, the grayscale 280 does. You can check my wiki page on tunnel vision for info on which have it.
Enjoy your duo! Get those caps changed though, LB caps will leak and I think the LCDs on these have a bunch as well.

Try to find a duodock for it!

I have one, it's one of my more prized items in my collection, with the fpu, nubus graphics card and extra HDD, it turns that tiny laptop into a decent powerhouse (for it's era).

The grey scale active matrix screens have the tunnel vision issue.
The, otherwise total crap, passive matrix greyscale displays (found on the duo 230 and I think 250) don't suffer from it!
