First off, special thanks to imactheknife for getting my 6100 working after a very long slumber.
Now onto business:
After finally locating the breakout cable for the DOS card, I’m having a difficult time loading the two Windows partitions that came with my 6100 - one is DOS 6.2/Win 3.1, and the other is Win 95.
On the rare occasion, I can get the partitions to load in PC Setup and access their respective contents. However, each partition randomly crashes after a few minutes, and I’m left with a black screen.
Most of the time, the partitions will not do anything and remain at “PC is booting” status on the PC Setup program (again, I didn’t create these partitions and I’m just using what came on the drive).
Before I nuke everything and start from scratch, what am I missing here? I also can’t change the RAM or Monitor settings in PC Setup (oh and sound doesn’t work in 8.1 - but it plays music CDs OK through the internal speaker).
