Best of luck. Just one little bit of advice - never post a link on here to something that you wish to bid on. I think most people here are pretty good about not bidding on something that someone is seriously interested in, but its still a good policy to go by. No, the LC series uses a simple flip of the switch to turn it on.

The entire LC pizza box series does not have soft power, unfortunately. This means there is a flip switch on the back, like the Compact series. Therefore you cannot power it on "remotely" via keyboard.

Each to his own - it's a matter of personal preference I suppose, but I do just find soft power to be a nice convenience, especially for machines setup in such a way that it becomes more difficult to reach around the back for the power switch.
