POP3 Capable Email Client

I have recently got my trusty PowerBook 150 on the web once again.

I have a POP3/IMAP email service that I like to use on it, though one thing has bugged me about Eudora Lite and POPmail 2: Garbled text from the email service such as Printable HTML and random things from the server (Spam assassin and various other server related messages).

Since the KDX server is down I don't know where to look, any suggestions?

... is people who assume that everybody is using an HTML aware email client and it's okay to shove a load of crappy HTML in their emails when a simple text only message would have sufficed.
