I made it clear that I had no intention to continue collecting Apple hardware. However, I've also gone on the record as stating that I am quite the fan of the Compact series. One in this condition is simply impossible to turn down, and I think it needs no introduction:
The plastics are perfect. I can't find a chip on it anywhere. The CRT was loose, but only needed some minor tightening of screws to pull it flat against the face plate, and the 800KB floppy drive came good after a flush with WD40 followed by a cleaning and application of Silicone Grease. I had to leave it to dry for a couple of days, but it seems to be reading and writing perfectly now. Electronics on the Logic Board and Analog Board seem to be perfectly fine despite their age.
Not sure what else I can say about a Plus. Either way, I think it's fantastic. On the shelf with the 512Ke it goes.
