Pimped Pismo (or Wallstreet) cover with aluminum sheet?

My google-fu is weak.

I recall a pimped Wallstreet or Pismo where someone had taken self adhesive aluminum or metallic sheets and covered the sides of the cover (leaving a black "mohawk") down the middle.

Does anyone remember this? I was trying to think how they did it and what tools they used. I might try this on my other Pismo but wanted an idea of how they did it.

Are you sure you dont mean the opposite? And aluminum center? Because I have seen that. The center is already metal, so its just a matter of removing the coasting and maybe polishing it.

BINGO!!!

I didn't realize they actually removed the covering on the center section instead of adding self adhesive foil as I had thought.

I'm jealous they have a bookendz... I've been hunting for one now for some time. (I might have to dig out some connectors/cables and stuff and try and make one myself)

Are all the port repliactors for the Wallstreets Bookendz brand, cause I have a port replicator I am not using.

This mod only works on the Wallstreet. The Pismo and Lombard have entirely plastic outer cases, rather than the rubbery skin over aluminium design of the Wallstreet.
