PBG4 1.67 15' DLSD Won't charge

Hi there,

My recently acquired aluminum PBG4 won't charge. It works OK on mains and the 65W PSU is detected, active, but not charging. the ring on the PSU connector stays orange.
First I thought that the battery was dead, but I bought two more batteries, one used but supposedly working and one new. Neither worked.
I tried resetting the PMU (via the unplug procedure), no luck.
What can I do to find the culprit?

Could be that you ended up with 2 bad batteries. No way of knowing without another unit to test in. Do the lights on the bottom of any of the packs light up?

Nope
But they could be depleted and not out of order.

Yeah... hard to know. On some of the PowerBooks, the battery charge board is a separate part, no idea about the aluminum ones, never had to take mine apart.
