OS 9.2.2

Ok , I"ll just settle for OS 9 on this machine.....Currently I have OS 9.1, but I'd like to step up to 9.2.2, I remember that I tried this hack with that OS9forever utility, the problem was that It would say some sort of error. I believe it was something of the disk image of OS 9.2.2 that couldn't be mounted or something....any advice/tips to get this done? Thanks a ton!!

Which Mac are you loading it on? IF it's one of the ones that run 9.1, why not just stick with 9.1? Personally, I don't see any added benefit to running 9.2.2 on a non-G3 Mac, unless I'm missing something.

Then again, I would probably just install Debian if I needed the latest and greatest functionality and packages. :p

OS9Helper writes to the Installer to enable installation of 9.2.1 and 9.2.2 on unsupported Macs, be they 60x or G3-upgraded. The code alteration cannot be written to a locked CD, so the upgrades must be installed from the downloaded disk images for 9.2.1 and 9.2.2. The accompanying text with OS9Helper states this requirement quite explicitly. If you still get the quoted message when you use disk images, they are more-than-likely to be corrupt.
