Anybody remember or know where to find what the original list prices were for various accessories like RAM cards and internal modems back in 1991?

Accurate information is not available online freely. You should be able to get access to original press releases etc if you have access to an academic library. I think that you need to go back to original sources really -- I find that the US edition of MacUser is good for finding basic contemporary facts.

Just looking at those prices puts me in agony. $300 for a 1MB SIMM? Over $1k for an external 80MB hard disk? The pain! At those prices, 2MB of RAM would suck up an entire paycheck, and I'd need financing for a hard drive.

I'd be unreasonably wealthy if all of my things were valued at their original prices like that, not including the several thousand dollars worth of crap like that I've thrown out because I have so much more that's better in one way or another.

This is why it is so hard to find upgraded machines for sale. It was way expensive to do the upgrades back when it was still possible. When you find one with more than the standard equipment installed you'd better grab it.

Holy crap! A MOUSE for $80? a CD caddy for $40?

I think we need to get around to building that time machine asap, guys.

On the mouse: yes, I double checked, $79 for the wedge shaped Apple ADB mouse... and $109 for the square Apple IIe mouse.
