Oldest System version?

What is the oldest system version that is even possible to find now, I have .85 already. I just want to see some prototype system software.

"0.85" is the oldest "Macintosh System Software" that I have ever hear was ever possible to find.

If you want older, you'd have to go back to Lisa.

If you want to see prerelease system software, best of luck finding it. You might have some luck tracking down and emailing some of the members of the original Mac team, but whether they still have the software, AND want to share is highly doubtful.

Yeah I want prerelease (i.e beta or even alpha) system software. Does anyone here have some original Mac team emails? It's worth a shot IMO.

try andy hertzfield he has a webSite called folklore.org about the history of developing the orginal macintosh

crap i didnt mis spell it on purpose

anyway that site is a possible direct way to talk to at least one macintosh 128 k developer

Oldest version I have on disk is 1.1g. But yes, .85 from the Mac Tour disk seems to be the oldest out there.

A lot of the earlier Mac systems are probably long gone. You don't always think about saving things for the future, unfortunately.

What about that demo with all the bottle caps and stuff bouncing around?

Always interesting to see, how John Sculley was involved in the early days at Apple. Cupertino really did everything to get him over and I bet that these bouncing Pepsis were some sort of tribute after he left PepsiCo. Anyway, in these days he was heavily involved with the "Macintosh" and friendship to Jobs was still at it´s best...

If you could make disk images and upload them, I'm sure it would be well-appreciated.
Yes! Yes! Please do! :D vMac is ready! You did say in the comments that you got other beta stuff. Could you image those too?

@Brooklyn

anyway I found the bouncig pepsis around from vintage man and one member of this forum got them too, watch the video
@dav7

Prolly not the best way to start in a forum. but anyway, I'm pretty sure if you go through Jag's shareware pack you'll find pepsi caps.
