PostScript style, that is. Finally got a PostScript SIMM for my Color LaserJet 5. I now have an Apple Talk and IP capable color laser printer that I can print to from every single computer in my apartment. From the Classic running System 6 to my roommates Quad CPU Windows 7 PC.
It even has the rear tray for printing on 11x17.
I can't believe how great the prints look on this old thing. I'm stoked. And the toner is unbelievably cheap. Maybe $3 per color. Fortunately my local surplus store also has a ton of CLJ5 parts. I'm going to see if I can work out a deal and grab a brand new drum, belt, fuser, etc. for cheap. Right now all the consumables aren't even a 1/4 of the way used, so I'll have quite a lot of use on it before I have to change anything.
Weee!
