next colour printer question for no real reason

I know that running into one would be alike to c-3po suggesting a very low chance of luke being alive on hoth (only for someone to tell me to "shut up! never tell me the odds" heh) but that aside..

was it quite specific to nextstep and the way its scsi worked or could someone in theory had used the printer with just about any other non-next setups too instead?

pretty sure it's just a canon rebadge, like the apple colour printer.
Canon BJC-820 or something.

I won't had thought it was canon given the rather unusual outline it had! or that I didn't know till now that there were bigger bubblejets with back-to-front sort of feed rather than the 'gravity worked' top-to-front small bjc's that I am a bit familiar with (aka also earlier predeskjet-based stylewriters)

cheers still. even then a next printer next to an apple computer(macintosh) would be a bit unusual in a funny way - as technically next and apple were two separate things at the time
