Never seen a Color Classic II like this

251653134885 on eBay, not mine.  Starting at cheap 99 cents bid so no price bashing please!

Seller says it is a Color Classic II but when I took a closer look, the word Color is missing from the front.  Also is that a very yellowed screen filter on front?  Almost made it look like a separate unit and monitor, like the IIsi.  There's only one picture and the top is cut off so I couldn't see if it looked like regular or Color Classic on the top.

Did the seller fail on the auction or is there really a Color Classic II that is labeled as Classic II?

It's a plain Classic II. The seller messed up the description. A Color classic has roundish feet on the bottom front, a different slot (like a Centris 650) for the floppy drive. The Color Classic title would be bottom center on the front. Most had a QuickTime logo on the front too, I think

you guys are so lucky in the states when it comes to shipping costs - I normally pay 50 to 100 dollars for shipping for almost everything -

theres very little in Europe when it comes to apple macs. Even when they do come up there usually priced at crazy amounts.

a guy in Germany wants 3.5k euro for a mac128k - another guy wants 250 euro to post a mac from Italy to Ireland - Christ I could fly there and back for less on ryan air!!!!!!!!!

I understand you, falen5! I myself live in Italy and Macs are greatly overpriced here. But it's only a matter of patience and luck: good occasions come up every now and then! As for the topic yeah, it's just a regular Classic II.

So... the guy thinks it's a color classic because of the ugly color that aged polarizer gives to the screen? That's hilarious!

Same issue here in the Netherlands falen5...

I bought a complete G4 Cube incl. monitor from the states: the delivery costs were almost as high as the price for the whole set.

But even then, it was way cheaper than everything I've seen in Europe at that time, and thereby in an excellent condition, so sometimes you have to do it despite the high costs for the transport.

Denus,

I saw my first G4 Cube in a computer store outside the main train station in Utrecht, right after they came out. I remember doing the conversion from gilder to $ in my head, and that the Dutch were getting screwed :)
