Need a HP ScanJet 5p Driver!!

I can't seem to find a driver for my "new" SCSI scanner. The only one I can find is for a ScanJet IIp, though labeled for a 5p. Any help appreciated!

Patrickool, try going to the HP site and downloading any scanner software that is Mac compatible. I'm not sure which browser you are using but check the URL of the download site. If I remember correctly it is something like ftp.hp.com. Have a look through the ftp site and find the scanner software. You may have to download quite a few files as they were named cryptically. Unfortunately, Mac and Windows software was mixed together when I last checked

i tried this, bur it needs a passphrase to decompress it, which I don't have... Any suggestions? I'm downloading all that start with SJ(ScanJet) and have En(English) and are .hqx and. zip

NEAT! [:D] ]'> I didn't know about this. Now I can finally use that Agfa SCSI flatbed scanner I've been hanging on to and not using. Thanks for posting this, Maconthemove.

What do you mean by a passphrase? I downloaded the files and opened them and off I went. I'll take a look and see if I can find that old folder of software

I'm at work right now but I'll send you the compressed file later tonight. I've got one other place to check too

that's a coincidens. i just found a HP ScanJet IIp SCSI scanner and i'm looking for a driver. could you tel me where you found it?

I have the original install CDROM for the 5p only. HP declined to support the Mac on their 5p support section; fortunately, the Mac driver appeared suddenly online for Patrickool93.
