Hello everyone,
I finally got my hands on a MessagePad 2000 that has typical degradation of the rubber coating and is becoming a bit sticky. I've seen many here and elsewhere recommend isopropyl alcohol to strip it, but for those who have tried it, does it strip the Newton logo and model text off the front as well, or can you save if it you're careful enough? I've searched around a bit and haven't heard any mention of it after the fact, but it's not too advanced so I'm on the fence, I've also seen mica powder and other treatments to the existing coating discussed here as well but since there's already a big section of bare plastic on the front cover I'm not sure if it'd be as good of a solution in my case.
If anyone's tried it and can confirm either way, I'd appreciate it!
