I had a Creative Zen Micro Mp3 reader in a drawer, battery was flat, so pretty useless.
the good thing is that the hard drive was still fine (more or less the same unit you can find in some Ipods)
I managed to remove the hard drive and with some effort to format the drive (the process took forever), 4 partitions were made and i was able to boot from it.
The boot is not quicker, but is silent.
