Messagepad data corruption

I have been synching my MP2100 with my G4 Cube (X.3.9) in Classic over Appletalk (via the Apple Internet Router). Standard stuff, except that the newer hardware isn't designed to work with the old.

This has worked relatively well until recently, when I have started to get intermittent "data corruption" error messages in Newton Connection Utilities.

How does one cure data corruption on the Newton?

I've never experienced this problem. Have you tried using one of the OS X native apps to do your synching with?

I haven't tried the OSX-native apps, though I have heard of them. Are they any good? Comparable with NCU/ Claris Organizer or a poor imitation?

For the sake of completeness, a final note: some time after posting, I discovered that the data corruption was on my desktop, not the newton. A fresh install of NCU etc. cured it.
