Macintosh II Battery Holder Board

Does anyone have one of the battery holder boards described in this document? I'd like to recreate it for my unit.

If you bend the leads on the 1/2 AA holder out a little bit it will fit without any addon board.

Better yet: just get new battery holders like on the SE, SE/30, etc, solder those in, and you are good to go. I did that on my II.

Someone on this forum (I can't remember who) made replica boards a while back

Personally I used CR2032 holders and ran wires so they could sit off the edge of the logicboard on my IIx to prevent it getting battery damage again in the future

That would make sense, thanks. I've been having trouble with a Mac II that often refuses to boot until I've removed both CR2032s and the power cable, left it for 60secs, then put everything back in again. Right now it's not even booting after doing that...

Guessing here... to retain the memory through a battery swap.

It might make sense to add a small modification, wherein the capacitor can be discharged via a jumper and a resistor (to prevent it from discharging too quickly and causing damage to something), thus wiping the memory and allowing for a true reset.  It would then be somewhat akin to the CMOS/BIOS reset jumper that many PC motherboards have.
