Hi, I have just finished recapping of a Sony psu inside Mac SE/30, but before powering on the PSU I would like to triple check the cap polarity, does anyone have the PSU picture with polarities ?
thank you
Hi again, PSU has been recapped, machine works fine, but.... I read low voltages on +12V and -12V, it is something about +10V and -9V. (Testing PSU without load), ADJ is set to Max... Ideas ?
There is a pot you can adjust on the board, to adjust the voltages. Turn this slowly and re-test. This is exactly why a lot of people ATX convert these now instead of trying to get the old PSU working again, other components might need replacement if voltages are still low.

Never test PSUs without a load, this is a ground rule for arcade repair, and usually good for retro PCs too. A regulated supply might read right with no load but most power supplies need a minimum load on them to output proper voltage and be adjusted.
