Mac Portable M5126 LCD cable Pinout

Hi,

I want to know the pinout of the M5126 Portable LCD cable, particularly which pins at the logic board connector go to the backlight inverter, so I can rerun the two jumpers and restore the backlight function.

A new cable would be ideal, but it probably won't happen any time soon, so I'll have to repair what I have.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have exactly the same problem cc. Last time I powered it up the backlight had gone but the screen was still very much usable. After closer inspection, I noticed the cable was damaged and one trace was cut, I guess that was the backlight.

If you can find a solution, I'm all ears.

Ill get to it one of these days.... 

Itll be easy to figure out once I "borrow" a non-backlit to backlit upgrade.

Once I am done, i will be able to give you a full pinout INCLUDING the signals.

LOL... I got the hint Techknight... lol... I had a very busy week at work this week.. Some servers got hit with the Oakbot Trojan... Unfortunately at work we use windows servers.. our specific app will not run on a mac.. I think I have gotten it all cleaned up.. What a mess... hours and hours. I do like the challenge of fighting back these stupid Trojans... 

And it is a VERY HUNGRY SQL application... so running it in emulation on a mac probably wouldn't be efficient...

That trojan is very old. IF the servers are kept up to date, and of course proper network security rules, it shouldnt have been an issue.

I know, I know... been kind of preoccupied and didn't do updates... never the less.. everything is updated now and clean... sharing has been taken to a minimum because some is needed.. but all extra services and crap have been disabled.. It's hard with a 24X7 business doing updates and having to reboot and apply all the time.. 

Even removed all registry entries and remnants of the infection.. including scheduled tasks it made... even though the exe's no longer exist I got rid of all residual crap.. dll's and so on..
