Mac iifx Kingston 2MB 64 pin SIMMs?

Found these Kingston 2MB 64 pin SIMMs in my Mac IIfx but it would not boot with them in the RAM slots.

I suspect the IIfx cannot handle 2MB SIMMs but if so, what machine/hardware are these SIMMs for?

Could they be the for the NTX?

I think laser printer memory was 100 or 120ns which is very slow. That RAM could be for a different machine (there are a few that use special 64 pin SIMMs).

I googled the part number and it showed as being used on an SGI Iris Processor board, albeit in an 8MB version.

Perhaps the 8MB notation is referring to a set of four? Kingston (and others) often screen print or label a part number for the entire set on each module, rather than using a number specific to the module.
