Hi all,
I've a Macintosh II PSU, model CR-45S that immediately blows its 250V/6.3A fuse when plugged in, tripping off the circuit breaker of the house. The PSU itself is spotless - the only damaged noted is at L202, where the lid of a component has come off. I suspect it's some sort of large resistor (can see wire wound copper inside the component where the lid fell off).
Which is where I'll start when I get the PSU out of the case - do others know of common failure points in the Mac II PSU? Would a failed resistor cause the PSU to fail so quickly?
Thanks
JB
