Mac 512k floppy motor spinning non stop with noise, cant read disks.

My Macintosh 512k has a funny floppy drive. As soon as you turn it on the floppy motor (im assuming) keeps spinning so you hear a noise as soon as you turn it on and cannot read any disks. what do you think the problem may be?

if its a new issue then taking the drive apart and lube, with parts replacent like in some other threads would be a start.  If the 512 is new to you, incorrect cable or drive would be first guess.
