I would like to try ZBasic on my Mac 512k. I have downloaded the ZBasic disk image from Macintosh Repository, but some reason when I enter the example program that is on one of the beginning pages of the manual, it gives an error. I think this disk image is not a copy of the original Basic disk and is missing some files or maybe I am doing something wrong. Does anyone have a copy of the original ZBasic disk for a Macintosh 512K?

Yes. Thanks. I found the Macintosh Garden ZBasic page. Unfortunately, after spending a couple of hours, I was unable to successfully un-archive the .sit file. I guess I'll just wait for ZBasic for Macintosh disks become available on eBay.
Hi @old_hitech. I was able to unzip the zbasic.sit file using the Stuffit Expander available via Infinite Mac (I used the Quadra 650 emulator). Inside there's an image for ZBasic 3.02. I was able to mount that using DiskCopy. I then copied that to my local MacBook and then opened the disk using the Mac512Ke emulator on Infinite Mac running System 3. I could then run ZBasic and execute a test program, e.g:
I've included the image here. It's a HFS image. You can create an MFS image which can be easily opened on a Mac 512 by using MiniVMac. Run something like System 6. Then Open the ZBasic 3.0.2.img, which should be OK. Then make a duplicate of a 400kB or 800kB MFS disk. Copy ZBasic from the HFS disk to the MFS disk. Then you should be able to open it on a Mac 512 emulator.
Not sure how you are able to create physical MFS disks though.
