Does anybody know where I can find Debian 2.1-2.2 m68k? I've searched all over the internet for days now with no luck. Anybody have any ideas?

Do they still even MAKE Debian for 68k? :?: :-/
Yes they do. If you check in the testing directories, there's a port for m68k, which is the 680x0 port of Debian. I couldn't find an official 4.0r0 release, but it's possible that the 68K port might show up in a later revision hence the availability in testing.

You're absolutely correct about the status. This decision was made for the release of Etch. They would be releasing a port for it in a later revision, but it's not their central focus anymore. It's kind of similar to the route Ubuntu/Canonical took on the PowerPC port, but dropping the PowerPC from official status especially in such a wildly popular distro as Ubuntu was not very smart IMO. But at least it's being maintained fairly well.
Keep in mind that Ubuntu is a bleeding edge distribution that tries to consider the needs of end users (as well as servers). When Apple dropped the PowerPC, that meant that rather few new PowerPC machines would be on the market for end users. So a lot of the justification for PPC Ubuntu was lost.
That is true, but I figure now that there are a bunch of PPC Macs that will be left behind by Apple, Ubuntu would be able to pick up the pieces and bring those Mac users over to Ubuntu.
Still, it's good that the Ubuntu/ppc community is keeping on par with the official releases of Ubuntu. It was only a day later that we saw Feisty/ppc and it's a great release...much faster than previous versions (and lots of issues resolved as well).
