Dammit, lets do this! This summer I'm gonna devote a huge amount of space to trying to get the rest of my apple machines networked.
Alright, so what do we got here?
-We got a Mac 512K with System software 2.0 and Finder 4.1. It currently has no Appleshare running on it and I have no idea how to add it on such a resource limited mac.
-We got a Macintosh Plus with System 6.0.8 but again, the appleshare software didn't seem to install when I setup the rest of the system. No idea how to add it.
-We have a Macintosh SE running System 7.1 which for now is networked so that's not one of my problem machines.
-We have an SE/30 running System 7.5.5 which is currently running on the LocalTalk network but a cat5 connection is plugged in the back as well so I can connect to a temporary server in the basement and grab disk images and generate floppies.
-We have an Apple IIgs with GS/OS 6.0.1 but no idea how to use it with Appleshare, if at all. I seem to recall it has the workstation card integrated but if I recall you can only use it if you netboot, right?
-We have that Apple IIe. Again, we got a workstation card but no idea how to make it behave with Appleshare, if it can.
-We have a Powerbook 180 running System 7.1. It's networked but It's only there because I wanted to use all my localtalk cabling.
-We have not pictured an Apple Workgroup Server 95 running System 7.6 and I'm working on installing Appleshare Server 3 on it as to give me the almost complete mac server environment, including the ability to netboot systems over the network.
All in all save for one Localtalk box and cable I've reserved for my LaserWriter I'm up and running and ready to grab files off the internet and generate disk images if necessary.
So regarding the four bolded machines above, what should be my first move?
