LCIII System software reinstall

I've had an LCIII for a few years now. It runs System 7.5 for now, but i was wondering if there's any way to install the system on it via a network since it doesn't have a cd drive.

If you have the Network Access boot disk, or launch the system installer from an existing system, then yes, it's possible.

I've transferred system software onto one of those via LocalTalk before - it took forEVER. It worked, though.

I formatted the hard drive, installed a basic System 7.1 on there from diskette, then booted the new system and transferred the installer files for System 7.6.1 over LocalTalk, then rebooted with a 7.6 boot disk and ran the installer. It worked, though nowadays I just use an external hard drive (so I can boot from it and store whatever OS I want, instead of waiting on a slow CDROM or floppy swapping), or, worst-case scenario, I'll pull the hard drive and use another machine to transfer it.

You can grab the Network Access Disk from the Utilities section of the Older Apple Software Downloads page.

I've done this with an LCIII and it works fine over LocalTalk. Slow? Yes. However, it's much faster than making the floppies and then swapping floppies during the install. I installed NetBSD/mac68k many years ago using this method.
