LC 475/Quadra 630/Quadra 650/Beige G3 MT

I just scored (for free) one LC 475, two Quadra 630s, two Quadra 650s, and a Beige G3 MT. I haven't been able to look them over too carefully yet (have to lay low so the SO doesn't catch wind), but all of them have Ethernet, and the MT has some sort of video card with (I think) S-video. What I really wanted was a Quadra 605 + a Quadra with a full '040 so I could swap it into the 605---trying to build a nice machine that can use my IIe card. Too bad the 630 doesn't support the IIe card! I'm also looking forward to getting A/UX up and running on one of the 650s.

Nice haul! I too love the Q605 form factor - but the LC475 is close, and all of the other Quadras you got can be a donor of a full '040...

Nice scores! Hopefully the Quadra 650s have some decent Nubus cards in them too. The Q650 has a full '040 you could shoehorn into your Quadra 605 (and then overclock this to 33Mhz). Keep in mind you'll want a little heatsink on the 'full '040 in the 605.

Yup, that was my thought---take the full '040 from one of the 630s and put it into a 605. I'm in the process of acquiring a 605... I feel bad ripping apart a working machine, but hey...at least I can rip up one of the 630s and leave the 650s pristine.

Unusually the Quadra 630s may or may not have a full '040 - seemed to vary from country to country, I believe. Either way, you've at least two or three full '040s to work with :)
