Innecto. Everywhere.

I feel almost as if I’m spamming this poor forum. I hope nobody else does. But I seem to have gotten stuck in a rabbit hole - and I don’t think I can get out of it until I’ve seen where it goes.

I have a game on sale for modern Apple devices, Innecto, and a new version will be coming out soon. But what is the least specification Innecto will run on? I mean, I know it runs on an M4 Mac, or an AppleTV. I know it runs on a watch. And I found out that it runs on a Mac 512 - it might even run on an original Mac 128, but I don’t have one to test on (https://68kmla.org/bb/threads/innec...00-and-soon-i-hope-earlier-systems-too.51636/). But… Hmm… Could it? Maybe? If I’m careful… Could it run on an Apple II?

So, first attempt, it ran. Ported using AppleSoft basic, the logic worked - but very, very, very slowly. Definitely not playable. Fortunately, I was able to find a very useful book - Using 6502 Assembly Language by Randy Hyde. It took a long time, it was a painful process, and I made so many brown paper bag errors - but it worked in the end. So I have my answer. Innecto can work on an Apple II. And it is playable. So where is it? Watch this space. I’m putting a few finishing touches on it - and then I’ll be making it available on Itch.

So, whatever your Apple computer, whatever it’s age, there’s a good chance that you can play Innecto on it.
