I have been waiting for one of those for something like 2 years now.

It's our second brand new computer in 17 years, the first one being a Win 98 PC that i managed to upgrade all those years (Motherboard, Ram, HD, drives, OS...)

The only part still original was the 17" LCD display (i paid an arm and leg for it)

it was time for us to get something better, and Apple branded at the same time:



I have been looking at the Apple store for months, and availability was poor ( i wanted the 27")

Yesterday i picked one and i should say that the new Imac is impressive.

I can't help myself, but "Woah" for getting a 17-inch LCD display 17 years ago (1996).

Back then Windows 95 was just out, and a 14 or 15 -inch LCD was pretty expensive, if I remember correctly.

Thanks, and yes the 17" LCD was pretty new and huge in 1996 (most were CRT and a 15" LCD was still expensive)... i also upgraded the ram to a 128 Mb stick and this was a fortune also.
