I'm done like dinner!

Well, as I've had absolutely no time to even start any of my projects (thanks to my day job), and having been told I need to put together a fairly substantial presentation for a business meeting next week, I'm afraid my Retrochallenge is over before it even began!

Good luck to the rest of ya, and have fun!

I was holding out hope for you; those are three systems I was looking forward to hearing about. Store up your retro-energy for the warmup I guess :)

Just to let you know, 1.44MB floppies work in those drives. but only at 100KB per disc :-/

But i used to have one of those. fantastic little machines. Say... did you happen to get that off of ebay a few days ago? and did you get an accouctic coupler that had either a green or tan base with really old rubber cups? You might have gotten mine :p

I know, I experimented ;) Actually, I managed to eke out 200k (it's a TPDD2)...

Nope, I've had mine for about three years - and the acoustic couplers (which I picked up off ebay last year) are jet black :)

That's really too bad... hopefully next year's a little more relaxed for you!

Thanks guys, it's a pity, but real life comes first. Especially since it seems like this meeting is going to be a "career-defining" event :)

No worries though... I kept detailed notes during the pre-planning stage of this year's Retrochallenge so I should be able to pick up where I left off. Kind of a piss off though, as I finally got my bloody Coco3 online with my dialup shell account again!

Bummer, but cool that you got that much accomplished.

The latter half of July got busy for me too.
