If I had an SE/30, I'd probably put a 24 AC in there for Kick@$$ Video performance on a Big@$$ TPD Color CRT. }
edit: alternately, the Futura II appears to decode Video and EtherNet using a single PseudoSlot address, possibly giving twice the bang for the buck in terms of expansion options. So far no joy on getting the 10baseT DaughterCard up and running on my new one as yet, further testing is absolutely required before making this assumption. My Futura II shows up in SlotInfo as Futura II SX/DSP. It has FLASH Memory implemented as its Declaration ROM, so it might not be compatible with the EtherNet DaughterCard, which has what looks like it might be another DeclROM. Dunno, this one probably deserves its own troubleshooting thread . . .
. . . now that you've jiggled the 'ole gray matter. :-/
Bunsen, that was my thought exactly. Didn't Magma make a nubus expansion chassis?
I was mostly trying to get a decent Marathon frame rate out of my SE/30. Even with a 40MHz 68040 my colorboard 264 just can't push enough pixels, even though PDS is (supposedly) much faster than Nubus. I don't think a fast PDS video card option exists, and was hoping a decent radius card on the nubus adapter would help.
You should get one of the programmable ROM SIMMs from dougg3 if he still has them available so that you can experiment with different ROMs. IIsi, IIci, and IIfx (universal) would be good candidates to experiment with.
The answer to IamSparticus' frame rate woes, on a (NuBus Adapter) stick!

I need to post a thread in peripherals about these wonderful LittleRedRadiusPixleRockets sometime in the future. It seems the Radius Version is far superior to the lobotomized Apple version in the current LCD era. Apparently there's a LittleGreenRadiusPixleRocket in olePigeon's collection, but I've never seen one.
IIRC, from my discussions with IIfx, the Radius DeclROM enables 60Hz VGA/XVGA output at all resolutions, while the dumbed down Apple DeclROM tops out at 1024 x 768 x 24 bit @ 60Hz. I think I posted something about this in conquests . . .
