IIci PDS slot not working?

I recently bought Bolle's 040 accelerator to put in my iici, and while it seemed to work, I decided to run a tattletech report, and it only reported back the 68030 @ 25Mhz, and when I went to the Nubus/PDS slot section, it said 0 physical PDS and 3 physical nubus.

Is this a shortcoming with tattletech (2.17) or my IIci? When the 040 card is plugged in the processor gets hot, so I think it's using it.

Also, none of the nubus slots are working, but I suspect that's because of a broken trace I haven't found yet.

Compatibility of the IIci PDS slot with the IIvi/IIvx

I’ve long been confused about the IIci PDS slot and what exactly it is compatible with. Apple had a 32kb cache card that was for that slot. The IIvi/IIvx/Performa 600 all shared the same logic board design and also have a PDS slot. I haven’t tried it, but some have said the IIci cache card...

I guess according to this, the IIci slot isn't a PDS slot but its own unique thing. Does that mean I still need to find drivers for the accelerator?

Assuming this is a Carrera, yes, you need the extension, should be easily found on macgarden. It's normal that accelerators don't show up in tattletech slot listing also.

ok, yup, installed the extension + control panel and TT is now reporting a 68040. Thanks!

Now to fix the nubus and audio...
