iBook G4 1.33Ghz Touchpad acting irratic

My touchpad has started acting up, sometimes the cursor will just freeze up. If it freezes over a window, the cursor will sit there, but i'll be able to scroll up and down the down, like I'm doing a 2 finger scroll.

Anyone else heard of things like this happening before?

When's the last time the OS was reinstalled? Is there any gunk on the trackpad? Are you using an Apple power brick?

Was installed a while back, running 10.4.11, I dont believe there is any gunk, i cleaned it out but didn't seem to make any difference. Using the white Apple brick that came with it.

Oh and a zapped the pram, with no joy.
