I have a Mac SE and it bleeps....what do I do next?

Hey Yall!!!

A friend of mine gave me this little Mac SE in perfect condition and told me they used to use these for music programming in the late 80's. Initially I didn't know what to use it for, I have three AKAI hardware samplers and they have SCSI on the back. My friend suggested I may be able to use it for the samplers, but when I checked out some online references, I read that these Macs actualyy have an 8-bit synth chip in them. As there are very few devices that make actual 8-bit sound these days, this may make my little Mac SE an interesting way to get those sounds. HOWEVER....I never had a studio in the late 80's and I am searching for software to make music with. I have been reading that there was a bunch of apps for this but I don't see any for download.

I wonder if anyone can help me?

KC

It is considered by some to be "abandonware", but that doesn't make it legal. Unless the developer has released it to the community as free, it is still very much commercial software, and is still covered by Copyright. What you do on your own machines is your business, but in future it'd be appreciated if no links to "abandonware" sites were posted. :)
