Has anyone made an FPGA Apple II with hardware ports?

What I'd like is a portable //e with hardware IO ports (monitor, cassette, game, disk, serial) to test and work with actual hardware disks and such without hauling out the whole computer. Has anyone done such a project?

Has everything you need except serial, as far as I can tell. But there's an expansion slot on the back, so you can add a serial card if you need it.
