Goodies from ComputerGeeks

Needing a faster PC to help out with customer repairs, I bought a refurbished Socket A motherboard from them for $19 and a 512MB stick of DDR400 for $25.

So far everything is working great along with a Sempron 2300 and a refurbished 60GB hard disk purchased from them earlier.

As far was what was refurbished on the motherboard appears to be the capacitors. This one was a Jetway V400DB motherboard, similar to several MachSpeed boards the office bought from TigerDirect years ago. All of those boards ended up with bad caps.

While some may scoff at refurbished goods, the only issue I have had with them was an external Zip100 drive I bought from Egghead Software when they actually had retail stores.
