Getting Q800, upgrade suggestion?

After missing out that free Q700 by minutes, I decided to check other sources and picked up a cheap Q800. I'm planning to put the PPC upgrade and Video Spigot card in along with a video card if I can find one that is better than onboard video (with 1MB upgraded VRAM)

It's too bad IIe card doesn't work in '040 systems.  Was there a Nubus DOS card?  If not, then what can I use for the last Nubus slot?  Also what would be a good video card that can use a VGA display? I have a few older 4:3 VGA display that is multisync friendly (works with my C610 at 640x40 and 800x600)

Poor Q800, will go from a top end 68k to a low end PPC.

Built in video is snappy, only bother with a video card if you need high resolution AND color depth. I recommend a Supermac  Thunder 24, they should be cheaper then other cards and have 3MB VRAM for 24 bit color at 1024x768.

Look up Orange Micro for Nubus DOS cards (286-486).

Doesn't mean I'd use the PPC card, it'd be there in case I want to run something that has PPC only code.  Alternatively I could put a DOS card in PDS slot but only 1 DOS card exists that fits there and it's sized to fit PMac 61xx. The extender board is fairly hard to find.   Like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131320786722 not mine, do note the missing 486 CPU and cable, and assume the DOS card is bad.  The DOS card and extender may be easier to get than Orange PC Nubus card.

As for killer sound card suggestion, it won't work for me.  Being deaf, even with hearing aids I couldn't tell the difference between killer sound card and high end speaker system from onboard sound and a $10 speaker set.  Heck i couldn't tell if a music being played is genuine Beethoven or a 3 year old banging on a few frying pans.
