I have my performa 637cd and i have an mdd and i am trying to test to see if some games can play multiplayer.
Game in question for now is domewars ver 1.2
The performa is system 8.1 while the mdd is 9.2.2. both games are the exact same, and both tcpip is enabled on both as with appletalk.
tcpip and open transport on the 68k is 1.3 while mdd is 2.7.9.
I can start the game and select to serve just fine on the mdd, but the 68k can't join, it's grayed out.
I tried to host on the 68k, but it's grayed out so no option there for the mdd to see anything.
I checked to see if i have internet on the 68k and i do, frogfind dot com loaded just fine and even appletalk works since i can see the shared hard drive on the mdd no issues. I just can't join in the game. Do i need an updated macipx or open transport or maybe something else?
Any info or maybe anything i missed would greatly be appreciated. Last time i played any type of network game was back in high school and that was all appletalk with bolo on mac plus' and a classic mac along side of an LC II
