I picked up a 520c on eBay recently, it's in good condition except that the left-hand hinge standoffs/screw threads (part of the screen lid) are broken. I think they had already been glued before, I glued them back together using epoxy (some Loctite plastic bonding stuff) but it broke pretty much instantly again.
At this point the only option I see is to drill through the lid, put machine screws through what's left of the plastic standoffs, and secure with nuts on the top of the lid. Has anyone done this on a 5xx?
